Abstract

Nothoscordum izaguirreae, from Uruguay, is described and illustrated. A dichotomous key is
presented, to distinguish it from species of Nothoscordum with uniflowered inflorescences. A possible independent origin of two characters, uniflorous inflorescences and post-floral recurved scapes, is proposed for this species
