Abstract

Discussion and support to the redefinition of Pleopeltis recently supplied by Windham are
given herein, taking into account the nature of foliar peltate scales and the diagnostic value of “dictiosori”. These concepts justify a new combination, Pleopeltis squalida (Vell.) de la Sota, here proposed
