Abstract

Chromosome number and observations on meiotic chromosome behaviour of four taxa of
Passiflora are given. One of them, P. tenuifila is the first chromosome record of the species.
Passiflora amethystina, P. tenuifila, and P. misera all had 9 bivalents in metaphase I. Passiflora cincinnata showed 2n=18 in mitotic cells from the anthers
