Senecio quequensis, a new synonym of S. bergii (Asteraceae, Senecioneae)

Abstract

Senecio bergii and S. quequensis have been described as two species from the sea coast of
Argentina. In this paper both are shown to be conspecific. According to the rules of
nomenclature S. quequensis must be considered a synonym of S. bergii. A more detailed
characterization and geographic distribution of the species is given
