Two new combinations in Marcgraviaceae are presented herein: Sarcopera oxystylis (Baill.)
Bedell ex Giraldo-Cañas and Schwartzia adamantium (Bambess.) Bedell ex Giraldo-Cañas.
Marcgraviastrum sodiroi and Sarcopera rosulata are first recorded for Colombia.
Morphological relationships, geographical distribution, and ecological preferences are discussed under each species
