Novelties in Senecio (Senecioneae, Asteraceae)

Senecio calingastensis, a new species from San Juan (Argentina), of series Corymbosi, section
Senecio, is described and illustrated. Differences with related S. adrianicus and S. manguensis are
discussed. The known area of two other species of Senecio is also extended: S. lanosissimus is
mentioned for San Juan for the first time, while S. bonariensis is cited for western Argentina: San
Juan, Mendoza and Jujuy
