New records of Cephalocarpus and Exochogyne (Cyperaceae) for Colombia

Abstract

Cephalocarpus rigidus and Exochogyne amazonica are recorded for the first time for Colombia. These species are endemic of the Guayana Shield and were collected in the Sierra de
Chiribiquete and in the Meseta de Araracuara, areas belonging to the Colombian Western
Guayana. Their morphological variations, geographical distribution, and ecological preferences
are discussed
