Abstract

A new variety of Chaetanthera pulvinata of Northern San Juan (Argentina) is described and
illustrated. The distribution area of four species of Chaetanthera is extended: C. limbata is cited
for Argentina for the first time, C. sphaeroidalis is a new record for the Bolivian flora, while C.
lycopodioides and C. revoluta are cited for San Juan for the first time
