New reports on Parmeliaceae s. str. (Lichenized Ascomycetes) for the lichenic flora of Tierra del Fuego (Argentina

This is a further contribution to the knowledge of the lichen flora of Tierra del Fuego
(Argentina), based upon extensive field collections and studies of herbarium material that led to
find species of Parmeliaceae s. str. outside their previously known geographical distribution area.
Three species are reported for the first time for Argentina, namely Hypotrachyna flavovirens, H.
rockii and Parmeliopsis hyperopta; furthermore Hypotrachyna sinuosa (previously recorded for
Prov. de Río Negro) and Xanthoparmelia submougeotii (previously reported for Provincia de
Mendoza and Islas Malvinas) have now their distribution area extended to Provincia de Tierra del
