New records of Axonopus (Poaceae: Panicoideae: Paniceae) for Colombia

Axonopus flabelliformis Swallen, A. senescens (Döll) Henrard and A. triglochinoides (Mez)
Dedecca are recorded for the first time for Colombia. These were collected respectively in the
Llanos Orientales (Orinoquia), Sierra La Macarena (Colombian Guayana), and Guainía
(Amazonia). Morphological relationships, geographical distribution and ecological preferences
are discussed under each species. Confirmed Colombian species of Axonopus are listed. This
genus is represented there by 21 species (3 endemic)
