A new species of the genus Neobouteloua (Poaceae: Chloridoideae)

Abstract

Neobouteloua pauciracemosa M.G. López & Biurrun nov. sp., from La Rioja and San Luis (Argentina), is described and illustrated. A key is provided to distinguish the new species from N. lophostachya. Chromosome number of 2n=20 is also reported which constitutes the first count for the genus.
