After a detailed study of the material previously recorded from San Juan as Adesmia
hemisphaerica Hauman (Burkart, 1954), it is concluded that the specimen was misidentified
with Adesmia echinus C. Presl. Adesmia glanduligera I. M. Johnst., described from San Juan, is
reduced to synonymy of Adesmia aegiceras Phil., already recorded for that province
