Novelties in Hypochoeris (Compositae, Cichorieae) for Argentina

Abstract

While performing a revision of the genus Hypochoeris for Argentina, several novelties were found: Hypochoeris chubutensis is described as a new species; Hypochoeris eriolaena and H. sessiliflora are cited for the first time for the country. Also, new combinations are proposed: Hypochoeris montana var. hookeri, Hypochoeris tenuifolia var. clarionoides, and Hypochoeris tenuifolia var. linearifolia, the latter also cited for the first time for Argentina
