Viola roigii (Violaceae), a new species from San Juan (Argentina)

Abstract

Viola roigii (Violaceae), a new species from San Juan (Argentina) . A new Viola, V. roigii is described and illustrated. Six species of this genus have been reported for the province, all of them belonging to section Andinium: V. atropurpurea Leyb., V. domeykoana Gay, V. frígida Phil., V. montagnei Gay, V. volcanica Gillies ex Hook. et Arn. and V. roigii Rossow, sp. nova.
