The presence of the genus Chorizanthe (Polygonaceae) in Argentina

Abstract

The presence of the genus Chorizanthe (Polygonaceae) in Argentina. The purpose of this note is to cite for the first time the genus Chorizanthe R. Br. ex Bentham in Argentina, based on C. commissuralis Remy from the province of San Juan. A description of the genus and species is provided as well as a key to distinguish Chorizanthe from related genera of the Polygonaceae present in this country.
