Estudios en Lycium (Solanaceae). II. Recuentos cromosómicos en entidades argentinas

Abstract

The gametic number of the following species of Lyciwn is recorded: L. ameghinoi Speg., G = 12; L. americanum Jacq., G = 12; L. c.:hilense Bert., G = 12,24; L. morongii Britt., G = 12; L. nodosum Miers, G = 12; L. tenuispinosum Miers var. tenuispinosum, G = 12; L. tenuispinosum var. friesii (Damm.) Hitchc., G = 12; L. tenuispinosum var. calycinum (Griseb.) Bernardello, G = 12. Besides, the chromosome number of L. cestroides Schlecht. (G = 12) , L. gilliesianum Miers (G = 12), L. elongatum Miers (G = 12) and L. ciliatum Schlecht. (G = 12,24) is confirmed. The presence of tetraploid specimens in L. chilense and L. ciliatum is reported for the first time. Finally, an up to date table with the chromosome numbers of the genus published till the present time is included.
