Crepis vesicaria (Asteraceae), new record for Argentina

The presence of Crepis vesicaria L. is reported for the first time for Argentina. The species
is abundant, and apparently spreading, in the southwestern mountainous area of Buenos Aires
province. All specimens collected in the area belong to C. vesicaria subsp. taraxacifolia
(Thuill.) Thell. ex Schinz & R. Keller. Differences with the other four species of the genus
recorded for the country are provided
